For those of you who occasionally read my blog, or actually see me in the office, you will know that Coral was the second Guiding Eyes for the Blind pup that I raised. My first was Delta who went on to be a brood, and my current pup, Poppy, is from Delta’s first litter. Well, Coral did a fabulous job in her formal training (rockstar status apparently), and is now matched with her sight challenged partner and has moved to Dayton, Ohio. I get asked so often, “how do you give them up?” I typically answer, “GEB pups come through me and not to me,” and Coral’s recent placement confirms just how true that is. I will be a short but important part of her long journey. She is already doing amazing things with her person – hiking, exploring, running, shopping, traveling, as well as simply being a loving and devoted companion. Coral’s partner recently sent me a water color that she painted by ‘impression’ – now that’s a team a team of two simply destined to be together.
