This is an excellent article on the tragedy of addiction but more importantly how the signs of struggle are so often forced underground in some of our professions. This article is specifically about law but it happens in medicine and mental health too and then sadly people do not get the help that they need until they, their families, and likely their clients/patients and colleagues have been impacted.
